SVETLANA JOUKOVA
Coach of Athlete Certified Level 3, F.I.G. Judge Br. 3
Head Coach of Kalev High Performance
Centre. She has a Master of Sports
in Rhythmic Gymnastics from 1977, a Diploma as a Transportation
Engineer-Economist (1976-1982) and a Degree as a Teacher of
Physical Education and Sports (1982-1987) from the University
of Moscow.
Svetlana worked as
a senior coach at the Olympics School, developing medal winners.
She was appointed Secretary General of the Rhythmic Gymnastics
Federation of Moscow in 1988, and was actively involved with
the Main Judges Board, judging both National and international
events. Because of her successes, she was able to attend the
World Championships of 1987 and 1989. In 1994, when working
with Irina Viner at the Sport National Centre, she was included
by the Russian authorities as one of the six best coaches
to participate at the Worlds in Paris. She also gained a lot
of experience by training gymnasts in Korea, Finland, Great
Britain and Australia.
Svetlana came to Canada
1994 and began working for Evelyn Koop at Kalev Sportive,
preparing Provincial stream athletes, many of whom (among
them Alexandra Orlando and Mary Sanders) became winners at
different levels. In 1996, she began working with the then
Head Coach of Kalev, Lusi Dimitrova, with Provincial and National
gymnasts, many of whom competed internationally.
Svetlana is a Level 3 Coach, working on her Level 4. She is
also a Judge at F.I.G. Level Br. 3.
From 1998 Svetlana
is the Head Coach of Kalev competitive program. In that year,
her Novice group won silver at the Nationals. And in 1999,
that group became National Champions, while the Junior group
won silver. Also in 1999, Irina Funtikova won Elite Canada
and then became Junior National Champion. In 2000, Irina started
her international career as member of the Senior National
Team, and two of Svetlana’s Novices placed 2nd and 6th at
the Nationals, qualifying for Elite Canada 2001.

TATIANA KASTSENKAVA
is a former member of the National Team
of Belarus, bronze medallist World Group Championships 1992.
She has a Masters degree in Physical Education from her home
country. She was also the coach for the National Team of Belarus
and, later, of Belgium. She is a member of Rhythmic Expressions
since 2002 and performed at the AGG World Championships in
Graz, Austria, and as a member of the Canadian FIG Gala Team
at the World Gymnaestrada in Portugal 2003.

ALEXANDER GATSUKOV
is the ballet master. He studied in
Minsk, Belarus, and in Moscow: choreography, character dancing,
classical ballet, neo-classic and modern dance.
He was a dancer at Bolshoi, and an assistant professor at
the Academy of Arts in Moscow.
